Artist's Comments

Yes, you may have seen the original of this waaaaay back in my gallery. However that one was done with cheap size 10 seed beads, and was likewise very uneven. The original has also since broken as, at the time, I was using nylon thread (thankfully I figured this problem out before I sold any of my work made with that thread, and now use the trusty durable Fireline).

So here is the new version, complete with the terrible pun of a name that I didn't even realize was a pun at the time, but which now makes me have James Taylor songs running through my head all day :)

I have also changed the design to odd-count peyote, so it is now symmetrical.

It is eight inches long, woven with Fireline and size 11 seed beads, and clasps with two bead-and-loop closures with sky jasper beads.

"Look at the sky!"
"ISLE of Skye?"
"No, Eli, NOT the Isle of Skye this time."

I strongly believe in working patterns up more than once, especially if you're selling. We put entirely too much time into developing them to not get some mileage.

I love how you've improved upon the original...that's growth! It's a beautiful, amazingly intricate design! :D
