Artist's Comments

This bracelet was designed by my sister ~Feantauriel, and the title is a tribute to her favorite band of late, Jethro Tull. "Velvet Green" is from their album Songs From the Wood.
Most of the work was done by me, although my sister insisted on doing bits of it whenever I was away from my desk. Thanks to this we have managed to correct her rather unorthodox method of increasing with peyote stitch. :)

Approximately 8 inches long and 2.25 inches wide. (I have a 6.5 inch wrist so it looks larger in the picture).
Size 11 seed beads in light green iris, pearl gold, and matte black, glass crystals, and a painted ceramic (?) bead.

Walking on velvet green
Scotch pine growing
Isn't it rare
To be taking the air
Singing, walking on velvet green.

Jethro Tull - ism!! I still say, why was I not born in the 1950's...
I would have gone to the Isle of Skye and found a way to marry Ian Anderson!

And....
I lost the game.

This is stunning! I loe the colours and design. I've never been able to work out a good system of increasing with peyote stitch... got any tips? :D

Hey look, I'm replying to you under YOUR account!! MUAHAHAHA you're answering yourself! Okay, fine, it's me (the crazy sister).
Aqualungism is different. That is just the fact that I used to hate that CD, but Dad converted me to liking it (except for, ironically, the title song). Jethro Tull - ism is the fact that I'm madly in love with Ian. Okay, not madly. And I'm not REALLY in love with him. But You get the point. It's fun to pretend.

I'm going to stop typing as you now.

I used a tutorial by *Ellygator - [link] It's somewhat confusing and involves going back through the same beads multiple times, but it starts to make sense as you work on it more.
